Our new satin anodising product consists of shot blasting in combination with anodising and allows the aluminium to be treated to a satin-like finish. This kind of pearlescent, durable and stain-resistant surface is familiar from Apple laptops, for example.

A first-class hailstorm with a first-class feel
The high quality satin finish is achieved in stages. Grain blasting is a mechanical pre-treatment step where the surface of the product is given a refined texture and optimum friction to the touch by hammering it with small, carefully selected ceramic balls. This type of hail blasting is optimised specifically for our aluminium anodising process, avoiding the typical roughness and brittleness of glass ball blasting and alumina blasting after anodising. The impressive, subtle blowing also covers machining marks with very small dimensional changes.
Polishing finishes the surface together with anodising
After blowing, the surface is polished and finally anodised. The final result can be influenced, for example, by the amount of polishing or by leaving it out altogether: a completely matt, non-reflective surface is just as successful as a glossier one. After treatment, the unstained surface is silver grey, but different anodised colours are also possible.
